Desсription: The Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) is an EU initiative launched to strengthen the EU Member states' security and defence and to help reach the level of ambition of the EU as determined in the EU Global Strategy of 2016. The ultimate objective is to optimize the available resources and improve their overall effectiveness with a view to the most demanding missions and operations.
