Niels Tijssen from the Netherlands concluded his internship at the CMDR COE by presenting his research paper on the topic “Deterring Hybrid Warfare: A Chance for NATO and the EU to Work Together.”

From 24 to 27 March 2026, the CMDR COE, under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), successfully delivered the basic course “The Implications of Climate Change, Environmental Degradation and Exploitation on International Peace, Security and Defence.”

CMDR COE hosted a group from the senior course of the Bundeswehr Command and Staff College as part of their study visit to Bulgaria, presenting the Centre’s work and exchanging views on crisis management, disaster response and multinational cooperation.
