CMDR COE hosted a group from the senior course of the Bundeswehr Command and Staff College as part of their study visit to Bulgaria, presenting the Centre’s work and exchanging views on crisis management, disaster response and multinational cooperation.

From 9 to 11 February 2026, CMDR COE hosted more than 120 experts from across the Euro-Atlantic community in Sofia for the BULGARIA 2025 Lessons Identified Conference – the crucial “after-action” step following NATO’s 20th Emergency Management Exercise, BULGARIA 2025.

The exercise itself was co-organised by NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) and Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior, through the Directorate General Fire Safety and Civil Protection. It was conducted in Montana, Bulgaria, from 7 to 12 September 2025 and brought together over 1,000 participants from Allied and partner nations and organisations, who trained side by side in a demanding disaster-response scenario.
