The Centre marked the 11th anniversary of its accreditation with an official celebration attended by senior government officials, members of the diplomatic community, defence attachés, and longstanding institutional and civilian partners. The event reaffirmed the Centre’s expanding role within NATO’s network of Centres of Excellence and its ongoing contribution to crisis management and disaster response.

Sofia to Host the 2026 NATO Modelling and Simulation Group Annual SymposiumThe Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence is pleased to announce the upcoming 2026 NATO Modelling and Simulation Group (NMSG) Annual Symposium, which will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 29–30 October 2026 under the theme “Towards a Digital Twin of the NATO Mission Space.” Supported by the NATO Modelling and Simulation Group of the Science and Technology Organization (STO), the symposium will bring together experts, researchers, practitioners, and innovators from across the Alliance and partner community to explore one of the most forward-looking concepts in defence and security.
