Call for Researchers

The 20th NATO Emergency Management will take place in Bulgaria from 7 to 12 September 2025. It is organised jointly by the EADRCC and the Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria, and will take place in the state-of-the art International Training Centre for first responders in Montana (some 150km from Bulgaria’s capital Sofia).
The GATE Institute, in collaboration with NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre, invites early-stage and senior researchers to take part in the NATO Emergency Response Exercise “BULGARIA 2025”, taking place between 7–12 September 2025 in Montana, Bulgaria.
Interested researchers from NATO countries are encouraged to apply by submitting a short proposal (max. 250 words) by 15 May 2025 to:
