A distinguished visit

On the 28th of August 2023, the Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence (CMDR COE) had the privilege to welcome a delegation from Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Sofia led by H.E. Jongin Bae.
The CMDR COE presented to the delegation the concept, vision, principles, COEs network, and specifically the organization of CMDR COE. Additionally, the Centre’s Branch Chiefs introduced the main activities and projects performed in their Branches. It underlined the wide opportunities for possible contribution and collaboration. Such a process is open for all NATO and PfP members, as well as for NATO's Mediterranean Dialogue, Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, and Global partners.
The distinguished guests again expressed interest on the opportunities for non-NATO nations to collaborate with the Centre and the possible advantages of cooperation.

Crisis Management and Disaster Response Exercise Planners Training Course startsFrom 04-08 DEC 2023 in CMDR COE premises will be conducted the CMDREPT course.
The course aims at building skills enabling the integration of comprehensive crisis management and disaster response (CMDR) and humanitarian assistance (HA) perspectives in exercise planning.
CMDR COE Participation to I/ITSEC 2023The CMDR COE Director Colonel Orlin Nikolov and the Operational Labs Section Head Colonel Kostadin Lazarov delivered and presented an article at the Conference on the subject “Refugee Flow Management and Resilience Implications”, as well presented on the NATO Booth NMSG-221 Research Task Group "M&S Support for Building Resilience and Mass Movement Flow".
