Digital Battlespace Meets Crisis Management: Solipsys Demonstrates BC3 at CMDR COE

Date: (26-05-2026)

The Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence (CMDR COE) hosted representatives from Solipsys for a demonstration and familiarisation session dedicated to the Battlespace Command and Control Centre (BC3) system. Solipsys, a Collins Aerospace company, specialises in advanced command-and-control and sensor-fusion solutions for defence and security environments. Its systems are designed to support operational coordination, situational awareness, and multi-domain information management. The visit provided CMDR COE personnel and subject-matter experts with valuable practical insight into capabilities relevant to contemporary crisis response, operational planning, and complex security environments.

During the session, participants were introduced to key functionalities of the BC3 platform, including the development of a comprehensive operational picture, data fusion, coordination among multiple stakeholders, and decision-making support in dynamic and complex scenarios. The activity also included familiarisation training and technical discussions, enabling attendees to explore potential applications of the system in crisis management, disaster response, civil-military cooperation, and multinational operational coordination.

The demonstration highlighted the increasing importance of interoperable digital solutions, resilient command-and-control architectures, and effective information management in addressing evolving security challenges. It also supported the Centre’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness and understanding of modern technological solutions relevant to operational planning, coordination, resilience, and response.

As a NATO-accredited Centre of Excellence, CMDR COE continues to serve as a platform for expertise, innovation, education, and cooperation in support of NATO, Allied, and partner capabilities in crisis management and disaster response. By engaging with industry representatives, governmental institutions, military organisations, academia, and international partners, the Centre remains committed to fostering knowledge exchange and advancing practical approaches to emerging security and operational challenges in an increasingly dynamic and interconnected environment.
