CMDR COE Mobile Education and Training Team Conducts Crisis Management and Disaster Response Course at SEEBRIG HQ

The CMDR COE Mobile Education and Training Team (METT) successfully delivered a Crisis Management and Disaster Response Course at the South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) Headquarters in Kumanovo, Republic of North Macedonia, from 30 March to 03 April 2026.

 

The course aimed to enhance the foundational knowledge and practical skills of NATO member states and partner nations in the field of NATO Crisis Management, while also strengthening their understanding of disaster preparedness and response.

 

Delivered by the CMDR COE METT, the course combined comprehensive theoretical sessions with dynamic and challenging practical exercises. Participants were introduced to the latest developments and best practices in disaster management, enabling them to respond more effectively to complex crisis scenarios.

 

All learning objectives were achieved, as demonstrated by the results of the final assessment. In their closing remarks, both the CMDR COE representatives and the SEEBRIG Commander highlighted the value of the training and reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and collaboration in the future.

Visualizing Implications of Climate Change on Military Activities and Relationships was conducted

On 11-12 December 2013, the Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence (CMDR COE) co-hosted together with US European Command (USEUCOM) and the US embassy in Bulgaria the workshop Visualizing Implications of Climate Change on Military Activities and Relationships. The opening remarks were given by the Deputy Minister of Defence of Bulgaria, Mr. Ivan Ivanov, who welcomed the participants and underlined the importance of the topics that the workshop focused on.
