ENHANCING REGIONAL READINESS THROUGH SEESIM 25
Date: (28-11-2025)
CMDR COE played a key role in the South-Eastern Europe Simulation Exercise 2025 (SEESIM 25), held from 24 to 28 November 2025 in Bucharest, Romania.
SEESIM 25, the eleventh iteration of this regional Computer-Assisted Exercise (CAX), aims to promote cooperation, coordination, and interoperability in civil–military operations. The exercise reinforces real-world crisis response capabilities within and among SEDM nations and initiatives through the effective use of computer modelling and simulation (M&S).
As part of SEESIM 25, CMDR COE developed and executed an experimental “Mini Exercise” (MiniEx) on 24–25 November.
In close cooperation with Romania’s Wargaming Centre, CMDR COE provided the Common Operational Picture (COP) for the MiniEx using its advanced M&S platforms. The Centre’s integrated simulation suite—comprising ETECUBE, HYMOTS, COBRA, SWORD, and JCATS—ensured participating nations had comprehensive situational awareness and a synchronized training environment throughout the event.
CMDR COE extends its sincere appreciation to the Romanian Ministry of National Defence, host of SEESIM 25, as well as to SEEBRIG and all participating SEDM nations for their invaluable support to both the exercise and the CMDR COE-led experiment. This strong regional collaboration was essential to the successful execution of the blackout scenario and the achievement of broader exercise objectives.
CMDR COE remains firmly committed to advancing multinational crisis-response interoperability through high-quality training, innovative experimentation, and the continued integration of simulation technologies.
