Second Course Iteration for 2024
Date: (17-05-2024)
A second turn of the NATO-approved Gender Focal Point (GFP) course iteration for 2024 took place from 13 to 16 May in the premises of the Centre. Traditionally the event gathers group of specialists who practiced advocating for and support to the implementation of NATO’s commitments to the Women, Peace and Security agenda as well as the importance of the Alliance’s gender advisory structure. The present course delivered lectures focused on identification of gender perspectives in security areas. A balanced mixture of individual and collective exercises facilitated the study on existing policy framework and tools for gender mainstreaming, and on the role of GFPs within NATO’s gender advisory structure.
The entire course team and the CMDR COE should like to wish the GFPs best of success in their important role in supporting the advancement of the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
