CMDR COE delegation in Poland

From 3rd to 6th of April, the CMDR COE Director, COL Orlin Nikolov, accompanied by Education and Training Branch Chief and Transformation Branch Chief; visited the Polish garrisons of Zegrze (the location of Polish Territorial Defense Command) and Bydgoszcz (the location of 8th Territorial Defense Brigade). The main aim of the visit was the familiarization with the structure and tasks of Territorial Defence Forces and its role and mission in terms of Crisis Management and Disaster Response. During the first two days the Centre’s representatives were provided with the sets of briefings informing about all the crucial aspects connected with the specificity of duty of those commands. Those presentations were followed by equipment static displays. In addition, the delegation had the opportunity to get familiar with civilian branches and cells cooperating with the army (Territorial Defence) at the level of the Voivode. The last day of the duty trip gave also the opportunity to visit Polish Training and Doctrines Centre and Military Police Centre of Excellence (MP CoE). In both institution the current and future cooperation in terms of education and training was discussed in details. The CMDR COE was officially invited for GLOBSTATE Conference which will take part in Warsaw between 28 and 30 of November this year.

An Annex to the Tehnical Agreement was signed between the CMDR COE and the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy formalizing the commitment to implement the agreed activities within the next 5 years.
