Prolific meeting of the Steering Committee

The 10th CMDR COE Steering Committee meeting was held on 2 and 3 November 2022 on the Centre’s premises in Sofia, Bulgaria. In his opening remarks, the Chairperson of the SC, Lieutenant General Dimitar Iliev, welcomed the representative from the Framework Nation, the Republic of Bulgaria, the representatives from the Sponsoring Nations, namely the Hellenic Republic, Hungary, the Republic of Poland, and Romania, as well as the observers from the Republic of Poland, and the Republic of North Macedonia, to the meeting. Lieutenant General Iliev placed emphasis on the successful delivery of the tasks, assigned to the CMDR COE, and on the high quality of its products and conducted events. Furthermore, the SC Chairperson stressed the importance of collaboration and partnerships, especially with regard to the work of the Centre. In that regard, the accession of Hungary to the CMDR COE was observed as an important step towards enlarging the Centre’s outreach.
The SC members and observers, who were present at the meeting, became familiarised with the CMDR COE’s activities and contributed to setting the path for the Centre’s future development. Additionally, the CMDR COE Budget and Programme of Work for 2022 were approved by the SC members. The meeting was considered as very productive, thanks to the strong commitment and mutual collaboration among its participants.
