Third AAB meeting

On November 2, 2022 the third Academic Advisory Board meeting was held in hybrid (residential and on-line) format in the CMDR COE.
The aim of the event was to review the academic and research activities implemented by the CMDR COE through the academic year 2022 and to plan the forthcoming contributions of the Board’s members in 2023.
The CMDR COE’s leadership availed this opportunity to express gratitude and appreciation to the Chair of the Board, Prof. Dr. Sc. Mitko Stoykov as well as to the Board’s members - Assoc. Prof. Nina Dobrinkova, Dr. Konstantios Balomenos, COL Dariusz Majchrzak, Principal Quaestor Stefan Savulescu and the observer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasileios Syros – all of them being representatives of the CMDR COE’s Framework and Sponsoring nations.
Fruitful recommendations were made during discussions with the focus on improving the common course curricula of some of the courses during the academic year 2022/2023 and developing the content of new educational solutions regarding the most current cross-cutting topics in NATO and international community.

Uncrewed Aerial Systems Course for OperatorsThe Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) Course for operators was held at the Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence from 30 September to 3 October 2025. It brought together 23 students from diverse backgrounds in a dynamic in-person setting.
