State of Emergency in Bulgaria
Date: (13-03-2020)
In light of the COVID-19 spread on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, a State of Emergency was unanimously voted today (13 MAR 2020) by the Bulgarian Parliament and introduced with an immediate effect until 13 Apr 2020. On 03 April the term of Emergency situation was increased till 13th of May 2020
The State of Emergency is declared on the basis of Article 84 of the Bulgarian Constitution which states that national authorities may impose complete bans, for instance, on movement, both inside and outside the country, and on assembly by closing public areas, schools, universities, concert halls, sport venues, private businesses.
