An EADRCC exercise planning

The Main Planning Conference (MPC) for the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) Emergency Management Exercise BULGARIA 2025 took place from 13 to 17 January 2025. This meeting was hosted and supported by the Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence (CMDR COE).
In accordance with the Civil Emergency Planning Exercise Policy, and following the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the 20th NATO EADRCC Emergency Management Exercise "BULGARIA 2025" will be jointly organized by EADRCC and the Directorate General Fire Safety and Civil Protection (DG FSCP) of the Ministry of Interior, Republic of Bulgaria, in the town of Montana, Republic of Bulgaria from 7 to 12 September 2025. This complex exercise will focus on enhancing resilience, improving disaster preparedness, and fostering civil-military cooperation in emergency response. It will bring together participants from NATO Allies, partner nations, and international organizations, to enhance their ability to respond effectively to a large-scale, complex emergency.

CMDR COE in conjunction with the United States Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Incident Policy and Cooperation (NIPC), the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and the NATO Joint CBRN Defence COE will conduct the Disaster Response and Consequence Management for a Radiological Incident Course from 22 APR to 26 APR 2024 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
