Distinguished visit to CMDR COE
Date: (09-06-2022)
Major General Tony Wright, Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Plans and Policies (DCOS SPP) at NATO Headquarters, Supreme Allied Command Transformation (Norfolk, VA) and CMDR COE FOGO Champion, paid an official visit on 9 June 2022 to the Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence. This visit provides a venue for fruitful discussions regarding the opportunities for active collaboration between ACT and CMDR COE.
The initial presentation about the Centre placed additional emphasis on its vision and mission, the past and the ongoing projects of CMDR COE, and on specific products related to the respective branches. The concerted efforts made by the Centre in order to uphold the established high standards for quality of its products and services, while also continuously expanding its thematic portfolio and its network of collaborations and partnerships, received a very positive feedback from the distinguished guest. The discussion was considered beneficial for both sides, as it outlined key strategic perspectives and several areas of possible interaction between them. This special visit was closely related to the closing ceremony of the 10th Annual CMDR COE Conference and 2nd International Conference on Environmental Protection and Disaster Risks. In that regard, CMDR COE is proud to announce that, in his closing remarks, Major General Tony Wright highlighted the Centre’s active contribution to topics, which are of significant importance to NATO.
