Seminar on Crisis Response System

The CMDR COE is more than pleased to announce that on the 27^th of May 2022 a one-day seminar was conducted on topic "Crisis Response System". The event was requested by the Mayor of Krasno Selo District – Sofia Municipality, Ms. Rosina Stanislavova together with representatives from the Stolichna Municipality. The main aim of that seminar was to discuss the further interaction between CMDR COE and the Krasno Selo Municipality in order to deliver a simulation training upon Crisis Response mechanisms. That types of trainings widely contribute to the preparation and training of the logistic and operational staff, to enhance the ability of examine the crisis situation and also to make a risks assessment and other factors that might have an impact.

The seminar has started with an opening remarks made by the CMDR COE Director. The seminar was conducted in order to enhance district municipality administration's basic knowledge of the National Disaster Protection Plan, the National Unified Rescue System, and the system's complimentary aspects' interactions, presented by Commissioner Iliya GEORGIEV, Fire Safety and Civil Protection. Moreover, to preserve administrative capacity to respond effectively in the case of a disaster in order to safeguard the population, as well as to illustrate the importance of civil preparedness and disaster relief in the context of civil preparation. The following topics were highlighted: the role of NATO in the crisis response mechanism, a briefing has been made about the Belene Case Study describing the role of the CMDR COE OP Laboratory in delivering such a trainings. Twenty eight representatives took part in that event having the opportunity to enhance their knowledge in that sphere by attending presentations made by the CMDR COE experts and guest lecturers.

After the closing remarks, the CMDR COE Director gifted the Ms. Rosina Stanislavova with an award plaque showing the readiness for further cooperation.

The CMDR COE is more than happy to cooperate with such experts in the administrative sphere.

Crisis Management and Disaster Response Course successfully completed

The hyrbid (residential and on-line) edition of the Crisis Management and Disaster Response Course was conducted in the period 21-25 Mar 2022 from the virtual studio of CMDR COE.
