Crisis Management and Disaster Response Course achieves its goals
Date: (23-03-2018)
From 19 to 23 March 2018 the CMDR COE successfully conducted this year’s iteration of Crisis Management and Disaster Response Course.
The attendees were acquainted to NATO Crisis Management, NATO Crisis Response System, and its complementary elements - NATO Crisis Response Process, Civil Emergency Planning, and Operations Planning.
Additionally, the course participants highly appreciated the part of the course which was dedicated to Civil Preparedness and Resilience in a collective defence and deterrence context. During the event the minimum standards for national resilience, NATO baseline requirements, and basic criteria for evaluation of resilience were presented and thoroughly discussed.
A diverse group of representatives attended the course from a wide range of international organizations, both military and civilian experts from national administration and academia.
The course objectives were achieved and complemented by detailed and productive teamworks, which were greatly valued by the attendees.
The CMDR COE would like to express sincere gratitude to the guest-lecturers from NATO HQ, EU Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC), the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) and Bulgarian Red Cross.
