CMDR COE participates at the NITEC and IPB conferences

From 18-20 November 2025, the Education Training Programmes and Plans division of the Multi-Domain Force Development Directorate (MDFD/ACT) successfully organized and conducted the annual NATO Individual Training and Education Conference (NITEC) and the NATO ITEP Planning Board (IPB) Conference.

COL Svetoslav NESHEV and LTC Mihai ILIE participated at the NITEC and IPB conferences. The events took place at the NATO School Oberammergau, Germany.These conferences focused on advancing NATO’s critical work in Education, Training, Exercise, and Evaluation (ETEE). The events aimed to enhance connectivity within the training Community of Interest, fostering greater cooperation to ensure synchronization and interoperability across NATO forces.The events also featured representation from the CMDR COE, highlighting the center’s commitment to supporting NATO’s education and training objectives.

Visualizing Implications of Climate Change on Military Activities and Relationships was conducted

On 11-12 December 2013, the Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence (CMDR COE) co-hosted together with US European Command (USEUCOM) and the US embassy in Bulgaria the workshop Visualizing Implications of Climate Change on Military Activities and Relationships. The opening remarks were given by the Deputy Minister of Defence of Bulgaria, Mr. Ivan Ivanov, who welcomed the participants and underlined the importance of the topics that the workshop focused on.
