Ammon Sentinel 2025 Exercise Strengthens Jordan’s Crisis Management Capabilities

Date: (09-08-2025)
The CPX/CAX 'Ammon Sentinel 2025' exercise took place from August 3rd to August 7th, 2025, at the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM) in Jordan. The exercise is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s national crisis and disaster management capabilities.
This high-profile event is the main component of the Defense Capacity Building (DCB) project, agreed upon by the Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence (CMDR COE) and NATO to enhance Jordan’s crisis management capacity.
The exercise brought together regional experts and the CMDR COE experts, marking the final phase of a comprehensive training cycle aimed at improving national crisis management decision-making processes.
Key objectives of the exercise included enhancing real-time crisis management planning and refining the integration of advanced technical tools for operational effectiveness. The event was the concluding milestone of the DCB project, designed to improve governmental resilience through advanced training and practical exercises, with a focus on specialized software, Modeling & Simulation (M&S), Command & Control (C2) systems, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications.
COL Lazarov’s team successfully organised and delivered the courses and activities that formed the core of the exercise.
The CPX/CAX 'Ammon Sentinel 2025' exercise highlighted Jordan’s commitment to building a more robust and responsive crisis management framework, reinforcing its position as a regional leader in emergency preparedness and disaster response.
The CMDR COE extends its sincere gratitude to Ms. Irina Novakova, Head of NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC), and to the ETE Technology experts for their invaluable support to the event.
