CMDR COE advances strategic and operational expertise in the integration of Gender Perspective

Date: (22-05-2025)
The CMDR COE was delighted to welcome a group of military and civilian learners operating at the strategic and operational levels to the NATO-approved Gender Focal Point (GFP) course, held from 19 to 22 May 2025.
Over the course of four intensive days, participants engaged in lectures and practical exercises focused on the integration of gender perspectives and the role and responsibilities of GFPs within their respective functional areas and chains of command.
The course curriculum included sessions on identifying gender perspectives in security contexts. A well-balanced combination of individual and group activities supported the exploration of the existing policy framework and practical tools for gender mainstreaming, as well as the GFPs’ position within NATO’s gender advisory structure.
The CMDR COE extends its best wishes for success to all newly trained GFPs in their vital role in promoting the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
We also express our sincere appreciation to the team of subject-matter experts and facilitators for their invaluable contributions to the planning and delivery of this enriching learning experience.
