Playing largest CAX/CPX of 2024
Date: (05-11-2024)
A subject matter expert from CMDR COE took part in Steadfast Duel 2024, NATO's largest computer-assisted command post exercise (CAX/CPX) of the year. He played a pivotal role in scripting and executing the exercise’s scenario in its CIMIC domain. Concluded on 31 October at the Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) and 11 other locations across Europe, this big event aimed to test NATO's ability to respond rapidly and effectively to a range of threats, from traditional warfare to hybrid threats. Scheduled by Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) and hosted by the JWC, NATO's capstone CAX/CPX of the year focused on the Article 5 defence and the delivery of multi-domain operations at the strategic and operational levels.
Among key objectives of the exercise were the enhancement of civil preparedness, readiness improvement and national resilience promotion. All targeted to increase the Member States’ ability to respond to crises and threats, while exercising key elements of NATO's deterrence strategy.
