Official Appointment of CMDR COE

Date: (21-02-2024)
Upon the official approval on behalf of the NATO Military Committee, the CMDR COE was appointed as Department Head for the NATO Business Continuity Management Discipline. At the official ceremony on 20 February 2024, during the Annual Discipline Forum in Mons, Belgium, the official certificate was presented to the CMDR COE Director, Colonel Orlin Nikolov.
Business Continuity Management (BCM) is a newly-established discipline within the Global Programming Governance Structure. However, it is very rapidly evolving thanks to the strong high-level leadership support, the close coordination among the separate NATO bodies, and the preliminary resource support.
The Department Head (DH) is an institution which is responsible for translating requirements into solutions within the Education & Training (E&T) Spectrum, as well as for ensuring the overall coordination of these solutions. The DH maintains a Discipline-related E&T Programme and strives to ensure that the selected solutions are delivered in the most effective, efficient and affordable manner through NATO, Allies, Partners and Non-NATO Entities.
