Resilience through Civil Preparedness Course

An online edition of the Resilience through Civil Preparedness Course was conducted in the period 02-04 NOV 2021 jointly by the CMDR COE, Sofia, Bulgaria and the CIMIC COE, the Hague, Netherlands.
The aim of the event is to provide senior civilian and military experts with an understanding of the various aspects of resilience at the state strategic level and the effects, thereafter, on the operational level through increased awareness of the relation between civil preparedness and improved operational effectiveness.
The Resilience through Civil Preparedness Course was jointly developed and successfully piloted in DEC 2019 by the CMDR COE and the CIMIC Center of Excellence (CCOE), NATO Department Head for CIMIC/CMI/Civil Preparedness discipline. Interest in this course increases with each iteration.
The course participants highly appreciated the lectures of guest instructors from the Hague university, NATO International Staff, SHAPE/ J9, the European External Action Service, Allied Command Transformation and the CIMIC COE who contributed a lot with their vast expertise in the Resilience through CivPrep area delivering their expertize directly from the foundations of all processes on the strategic level.
The course was attended by representatives of different civil and military structures and institutions from Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, and the USA.
The most beneficial part of the event was the opportunity for the participants to be involved in collaborative practical tasks and to take the advantage of the teamwork.
