Reflecting on Covid-19: Lessons Identified and Ways Ahead

Date: (19-07-2021)
On 19 July 2021, the CMDR COE conducted its first Webinar focusing on the novel coronavirus. The ‘Reflecting on Covid-19: Lessons Identified and Ways Ahead’ Webinar aimed to present the CMDR COE’s general findings on Covid-19, based on 30+ Reports produced since early March 2020, and to discuss the Centre's future engagement with and activities on the subject. A moderated panel discussion enabled CMDR COE staff members and representatives from other NATO COEs to deliberate on solutions for improved planning for prevention, preparadness, response and recovery from health crises. The active participation of the audience made the exchange all the more valuable.
Serving itself to exemplify fruitful cooperation, the Webinar highlighted the importance of strengthened information sharing and coordination in the face of complex global threats with multiple reverberating effects across different spheres of life.
The findings of the discussion will serve to support the CMDR COE in identifying future paths for its analytical work on Covid-19.
