6th CMDR COE Anniversary
Date: (31-03-2021)
On 31 March 2015, the NATO CMDR COE was officially accredited by the North Atlantic Council (NAC) and thus activated as a NATO military body with international status pursuant to Article 14 of the Paris Protocol. A significant amount of time and efforts have been exerted to establish the CMDR COE as an institution meeting NATO’s high standards and requirements for a hub of expertise in the CMDR domain. Importantly, bringing added value to the process of the Alliance’s transformation and adaptation. The CMDR COE is continuously improving its products and performance, which deserves us the appreciation of the CMDR community of interest.
The provided expertise from the Centre is respected and welcomed at various conferences, seminars, workshops and courses not only among military audience, as well desired and appreciated widely in civilian organizations and partners.
Despite the impact of COVID-19, the CMDR COE has managed to adapt its operating procedures to accommodate the need for increased prevention and protection with the determination to continue serving its purpose of a hub of CMDR expertise. Analysis and research have continued and to inform our work on concept and doctrine development, and on tailoring our NATO-certified training events. The latter have been swiftly and smoothly transferred to an online environment while preserving high standards of quality. Throughout the years, the CMDR COE has steadily affirmed its place in the field of CMDR and has earned the trust and respect of stakeholders across NATO’s board. We will continue to grow, improve and seek to contribute to a better and more inclusive crisis and disaster management.
Happy 6th CMDR COE Anniversary!
