Visit of the Chief of Defence of the Republic of Turkey

Today, we had the pleasure and the honour to welcome General Yaşar Güler, Commander of the Turkish Armed Forces, to the CMDR COE. The official meeting was opened by COL Orlin Nikolov, CMDR COE Director, who presented the Centre’s major achievements and outlined current and planned activities and projects. He further emphasised the importance of collaboration and exchange in the crisis management and disaster response domain and highlighted the Centre’s role in forging productive partnerships in support of NATO’s transformation.
On his part, General Güler expressed high appreciation of the opportunity to visit the CMDR COE and underlined the importance of interoperability among NATO Allied and Partner nations.
The official visit concluded with an exchange of gifts.
