NATO Response System Course

The CMDR COE NATO Response System (NRS) Course will take place in the period 30 November – 04 December 2026. The course will be conducted RESIDENTIAL - at CMDR COE premises, 34A Totleben Blvd, Sofia, Bulgaria.
Methodology:
The course comprises theorethical lessons and is supported by practical tasks. The content will be delivered residentially in the CMDR COE premises.
Aim:
Acquisition of comprehensive knowledge related to NATO Response system and to enable students with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully plan and implement NRS process, components, and procedures.
Training Audience:
Military Officers (OF-1 through OF-5) and NCO's (OR-8 through OR-9), or civilian equivalents, who are in the position of NRS Action Officers with responsibilities for the NRS assigned to or selected for:
- NATO Allies’
- NATO HQ, NATO commands, NATO agencies.
Learning Objectives:
· Given references, students will be able to explain the NRS and the use of its components
· Given a series of presentations and practical Functional System Training, students will apply NRS RM and information exchange procedures.
· Students will demonstrate the correct use of NRS components against a given scenario.
Prerequisites:
NATO Crisis Management Fundamental Knowledge (COPD, AJP-01, AJP-3, AJP-3.24, AJP-3.26, AJP-5 and NRS 2024).
Language:
The command of English language should be at a professional level, according to the criteria stated in STANAG 6001- 3-2-3-2 or B2+/C1 in CEFRL.
Attendance:
Participants are expected to attend all course activities as the intense programme does not allow for absences during the course. Certificate for successful completion shall not be awarded in case absences are recorded.
Registration:
Mandatory on-line registration should be completed as soon as possible, but no later than 31 OCT 2026. The required minimum for course conduct is 15 participants, and the maximum – 24.
Course Fee:
No fees will be charged for this iteration of the course
Course assessment and certification. Each learner must demonstrate an ability to perform in accordance with the course objectives. Learners will be assessed against both individual and collective formative and summative assessment criteria. There are two types of certificates depending on overall performance: Certificate for Successful Completion and Certificate for Participation. The summative assessment for CMDR COE courses is conducted at the end of the course. The minimum score to pass the exam is 80% correct answers.
Cancellation:
Cancellation of participation is only possible with a 3-week notice prior to the start date of the course. The entire course fee is due past the afore-mentioned period.
Dress Code: Smart casual, business casual or military uniforms.
