Exercise in Moldova
Date: (15-03-2024)
The Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence (CMDR COE) played a crucial role in supporting Moldova's efforts to enhance energy resilience against cyber and hybrid threats, culminating in the successful conclusion of the Coherent Resilience 2024 Moldova (CORE-24 M) exercise in Chisinau. The exercise, held from 12 to 14 March 2024, was organized by NATO in partnership with the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Moldova.
Supported by a coalition of international partners including the Lithuanian Armed Forces, the European Union Joint Research Centre, the Romanian New Strategy Center, and the US Naval Postgraduate School, CORE-24 M focused on bolstering the resilience of Moldova's critical energy infrastructure.
The exercise prioritized collaboration between Moldovan energy operators and cyber defenders, highlighting the importance of preparedness in mitigating non-conventional security threats. Participation from different ministries, government agencies, and the private sector underscored the significance of inter-institutional cooperation in safeguarding vital infrastructure.
