EADRCC Exercise in North Macedonia

The CMDR COE participated in the NATO EADRCC Consequence Management Exercise North Macedonia 2021. It was held in the town of Ohrid, Republic of North Macedonia from 20 to 23 September 2021. This huge training event aimed to train and exercise procedures for the local Emergency Management Authority (LEMA) besides the UN models for the On-Site Operation Coordination Center (OSOCC), as well as the Urban Search and Rescue Coordination Cell (UCC) and the Emergency Medical Teams Coordination Cell (EMTCC). The training audience were liaison officers and team leaders assigned in consequence management teams.
The team from CMDR COE actively participated in the execution phase of the exercise and contribute significantly to the whole organization and conduct. The Centre provided expertise in the Evaluation and Analysis. The table-top part of the exercise was supported via CMDR COE’s Operational Laboratory with created Virtual Reality environment. The teams were actively involved in the exercise by VR, all training objectives were covered and the aim of the exercise was fully achieved. Additionally the Centre enabled the broadcast of the opening ceremony and VIP symposium.
